Tax Returns Done Right
Accurate filings. Maximum deductions. Zero surprises.
We prepare your returns so you can file with confidence.
When your bookkeeper and your tax preparer are the same team, nothing gets lost in translation — and nothing gets missed.
Why DIY Tax Prep Is Risky
Tax software can't replace professional judgment. One missed deduction or classification error can cost you thousands.
Missed Deductions
Software prompts can't catch every deduction. Business expenses, depreciation, credits — professionals know what to look for.
Classification Errors
Misclassify income or expenses and you're inviting an audit. Professional preparers know the rules and apply them correctly.
Messy Records
If your bookkeeping isn't clean, your tax return won't be either. We reconcile your books before we file.
Last-Minute Panic
Scrambling at deadline means mistakes, extensions, and stress. Professional prep means filing on time, every time.
The cost of mistakes: IRS audits, penalties, interest, and overpayment. Professional prep pays for itself.

Who You’re Actually Working With
Two founders who’ve sat on both sides of your financials
Tax preparation is judgment work — knowing which deductions apply, how entities interact, and where the risk is. Here's whose judgment you're getting. You aren’t handed off to a junior bookkeeper. You work directly with the people whose names are on the door — and their backgrounds are exactly the ones a growing business needs in its corner.
Carrie Anderson
Co-Founder · The Lender’s Eye
A former commercial banker and underwriter who personally reviewed 300+ business loans. She knows exactly how a bank reads your financials to decide what you can borrow — because she used to be the one reading them. That’s why our clients’ books come out lender-ready, not just tax-ready.
Jason Anderson
Co-Founder · The Operator’s Eye
A big-firm-trained accountant with a lifelong passion for processes, efficiency, and Six Sigma— made practical, not academic. He builds the job costing, tax strategy, and systems that let a company actually see where its money goes and scale without the wheels coming off.
Both spent years in the oil & gas industry, and both design financial systems from a whole-company view— not just an accounting lens. You get a firm that reads your numbers like a lender and builds systems like an operator.
Meet the teamRemote, and better for it
Wherever your business is, we’re in Montana. Here’s why that’s an advantage.
The best accountant for your business almost certainly isn’t the one with the nearest office. Modern accounting runs on cloud books, a secure portal, screen-share, and video — so the relationship is built on expertise and responsiveness, not drive time. A great remote firm beats an okay local one every single time.
About 80%of even our own local Montana clients run the entire relationship remotely — and never come into the office. Working with your business is exactly the same.
Cloud books, always on
Your numbers live in the cloud — you can see them any time, not just at tax season.
Real conversations
Scheduled video reviews and screen-shares where we walk through the numbers together.
Secure document portal
Send and sign everything safely — no dropping off a shoebox of receipts.
Same-day responsiveness
You get faster answers from us by email and call than from most firms down the street.
Tax Preparation FAQ
Do you prepare both business and personal returns together?
Yes — and it's a real advantage to have the same team do both. We prepare your business return (1120-S, 1065, or 1120) and the owners' personal 1040s together, so the K-1s flow through correctly, distributions and reasonable compensation line up, and nothing gets lost between two separate preparers. When your bookkeeper and your tax preparer are the same team, the whole picture ties out.
Which entity returns do you file?
All the common ones: 1040 (individual, including Schedule C, E, and K-1 income), 1065 (partnerships and multi-member LLCs), 1120-S (S-corporations), and 1120 (C-corporations). We handle the shareholder and partner allocations, K-1 preparation, reasonable-compensation analysis for S-corps, and the supporting schedules that come with each.
Can you handle multi-state and out-of-state filings?
Yes. We prepare state and local returns alongside your federal return, including apportionment and nexus issues for businesses that operate in more than one state. If you've expanded, relocated, or sell across state lines, we sort out where you actually owe and file accordingly.
Can you help with prior-year or unfiled returns?
Yes. Prior-year catch-ups, amended returns, and unfiled back returns are quoted separately, but they're squarely in our wheelhouse. If you're behind or you think a past return missed something, we'll review it, get you compliant, and often recover money that was left on the table.
Can you prepare my taxes if I'm not in Montana?
Absolutely. Tax preparation is done from your documents, not in person — everything runs through a secure portal, with video calls and e-signatures — so it works exactly the same whether you're across town or across the country. In fact, about 80% of our own local clients handle the entire relationship remotely. We prepare returns for businesses and owners nationwide.
